Vince Weiguang Li, Man Accused of Beheading Greyhound Passenger Tim McLean Makes First Court Appearance

Man, this is the kind of story that makes me wanna hitchhike instead of taking the bus… Vince Weiguang Li, accused of decapitating a passenger named Tim McLean on a Greyhound bus in Manitoba, Canada on Wednesday, made his first appearance in court today.
From The Sun:
Reports say Li’s victim is Tim McLean – a 22-year-old carnival worker.
Witnesses say Li stabbed him repeatedly before slicing off his head and calmly dropping it at the feet of his fellow passengers.
Li is then said to have began cutting up his victim’s body using a Rambo-style hunting knife.
Rambo-Style knife? Okay, thanks The Sun. For a slightly less sensationalized version, let’s check in with Ground Report:
Witnesses say that Vince Weiguang Li pulled out a large knife and began stabbing Tim McLean who was sitting next to him and sleeping. Passengers screamed in terror, the bus driver pulled over in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba and the passengers escaped the bus before Vince Weiguang Li hurt anyone else. Passengers managed to not let Li escape and the bus driver had disabled the bus’ motor so Li could not drive away. When passengers entered the bus to try and rescue the victim, they saw that Vince Weiguang Li had cut Tim McLean’s head off and he started coming after them with his knife. Police arrived at the scene and managed to capture Li as he attempted to jump out of a window.

The comment the sun used “Rambo” to describe the knife was taken as a quote from a witness. It is my sincerest hope that true justice will prevail in this case. It is horrifically tragic, and people who behave to this extreme is society should be permanently banished from it. My thoughts are with those left behind, that through justice they may someday find some peace and closure.
actually the sun’s report simply forgets to source the reference to a rambo style knife. that was directly borrowed from witness testimony. a number of witnesses commented on the style of knife and what a grisly weapon it was.

Vince Weiguang Li. This is a name that may well force me to vote CPC instead of NDP. This bastard should be skinned alive, and then his body dumped back where he came from.

Hating all Chinese people is not going to solve the problems, little man. Did you hate all white people when Robert Pickton was caught? Getting angry with the police is no good either as they were not present when the crime took place. What happened is a terrible tragedy and my heart goes out to the McLean family. This is not a time for airing out your personal biases and deep-seated hatred towards people. This is a time to lend our support for the McLeans. Can you do that?
Crazy people are crazy people, there is nothing racial about it. Jeffrey Dahmer lured young males into his house, killed them, cut them open, ate their flesh. Yes he was white but that doesnt make every single white person a serial killer. I am Chinese and I condemn this man’s horrible act he deserves nothing but death he is a sick fuck. I’m just worried about the fact that he happens to be Chinese will spark a wave of racism towards the Chinese. He is just one mental individual and it is utterly unfair to label all Asians psychopath killers. We contributed to the building of the Canadian nation back in the 18th century when Chinese workers built the railways in Canada and we have brought in valuable human capital into the country. I think Canadians are smart enough to understand that this is an individual case and it has nothing to do with his ethnicity. There are crazy people in every race. It takes extreme stupidity, insecurity and ignorance to resort to name-calling at this moment.

I think we should take a rusty rasor and slice him thousands of times over and over till he is begging for mercey, and cut his head while he is alive so he can fell the full effect of it. He should die the worst and slowest death ever.
A clear case of a serious mental illness. Who knows what kind of paranoia Vince Li was going through when he attacked Tim McLean. RIP Tim.
