After last week’s look at the exciting world of Chico’s Mallville, I thought it only fitting to in turn spend some quality time out in our town’s Old Mallville, or at least what remains of it.

Last Thursday marked the premier of The Who’s Tommy in Chico, CA. Staged in the 100-seat Blue Room Theatre (which back in its day provided space for rock concerts including The Dismemberment Plan, Karate and The Makeup and other 90s independent rock luminaries) the production had a decent opening weekend — as a member of the production, I qualify “decent” as not falling flat on our faces…actually, it was pretty good.
