New Live Killswitch Engage Track

Posted on 02. Apr, 2009 by Dallas VonKillbot in Music

Besides dudes like Lamb of God and The Sword, Killswitch is pretty much destroying the metal scene right now. Their last release, As Daylight Dies, is still on constant rotation on my iPod and they’ve been touring like motherfuckers for what seems like the last decade. Not only do the guys in the band shred at all of their instruments, guitarist Adam D. has produced… *ehem*…
* The Acacia Strain – … And Life is Very Long, 3750, The Dead Walk
* Aftershock, – Through the Looking Glass
* The Agony [...]

Lamb of God Announces the Most Badass Contest of All Time

To coincide with their forthcoming fifth full length Wrath, metal titans Lamb of God have running a contest called Escape the Plague, the details of which can be found below. Even if you don’t give a shit about metal, you have to admit this contest is pretty fucking badass

Scion Music Festival=WIN

Although I hate it with all of my heart, the stuck-ups over at Pitchfork post some good stuff every now and then. Today’s offering is the line-up for this year’s Scion Rock Fest in Atlanta, which is featuring the best set of metal bands out of the scene right now (minus the fact The Sword and Killswitch Engage aren’t on it). The headliners are Hotlanta’s own Neurosis and motherfucking Mastodon for God’s sake, and the fact that Synthesis favorites High On Fire and Torche are on the bill [...]

Interview With Lamb of God

Posted on 08. Dec, 2008 by Dallas VonKillbot in Music

It’s been kind of a slow news day on the internetz, and I’m not quite in the mood to try to blog about the absolute crap that Google’s hot trends is putting out right now.  Instead of faking some BS blog, here’s my recent interview with Mark Morton from Lamb of God.

It must be a beautiful view from the top, and no one would know better than Virginia based band Lamb of God. Over the course of about 10 years, they’ve completely revolutionized a genre, sold hundreds of thousands [...]

Lamb of God ‘In Studio’ Cameras Go Live

Posted on 08. Sep, 2008 by Dallas VonKillbot in Internet, Music

There’s no doubt about it; Synthesis fucking loves Lamb of God. Currently, The only disk in my bathroom CD player is Sacrament, and the only disk I’ve listened to in my car for the last 3 weeks is Killadelphia. These dudes are one of the biggest/most important band on the current metal scene (and that’s including Metallica).
Following a recent trend of in studio camera work by bands like Saosin and Underoath, the quintet have recently turned on the red lights and started streaming the studio 24 hrs a [...]

Hatebreed DVD to Turn Living Rooms into Pits: 9/2/08

Listening to their musical brutality you’d think Hatebreed would sooner smash your face in than have a pleasant conversation with you. Not so. When Synthesis met up with singer Jamey Jasta, he was cuddly as a kitten. Okay, that may be an overstatement, but our camera operator/designer sure had to restrain herself from petting him. Check out the footage (below) RIGHT AFTER peeping Synthesis interview (right here).

For those who missed their summer tour, do not fret yerself. Their live DVD, Live Dominance, will be floor-punching streets in September:
HARDCORE METAL PIONEERS [...]

Headbangers Ball Streams Lamb of God’s New Double DVD

Posted on 26. Jun, 2008 by Dallas VonKillbot in Music

Lamb of God have to be one of the best live metal bands I’ve seen. There’s nothing like Redneck or Black Label being blasted from 5 sweaty dudes as strobe lights cast their shadows on the violent souls of the circle pit.
Headbanger’s Ball, that show that was once the coolest program on TV, is releasing clips from Lamb of God’s new DVD set via their blogsite. The double disk, Walk With Me in Hell, follows the band around as they tour in support of Sacrament. The 2nd [...]
