All my attempts to find the Beastie Boys Futurama clip have been thwarted. In lieu of that here’s a press release about the next BBoys album due out this fall.

Kanye Can’t Sing

If you’ve been hiding under a rock recently, let me give you a little insight into what’s absolutely raping the music industry at the current moment. No, this isn’t a Major v. Indie thing, it’s not about file sharing and it’s not about Chinese Democracy; it’s about the discovery of a piece of software generally called Auto-Tune. A some years back, engineers and producers would use this tool as a form of pitch correction on vocalists, improperly set up guitars, etc. The system worked, because there was still [...]
The Roots Announce Retirement From Touring

Last night in Chicago The Roots announced that they will be retiring from touring effective March 2009. [...]

He claims to his buddies to be able to pick anybody up in three lines or less. This of course results in an attempt at swooping Glenn Frey from the Eagles, played by Will Ferrell. Just watch…
Jimmy Fallon to Replace Conan O’Brien in 2009
Posted on 25. Apr, 2008 by Daniel Taylor in Comedy, TV
Though NBC has been tight-lipped about who will replace Conan O’Brien when he steps into Jay Leno’s Tonight Show hosting spot in 2009, both Variety and the Hollywood Reporter are now saying its certain to be SNL alum Jimmy Fallon:
As he did with O’Brien, Fallon’s former Saturday Night Live boss Lorne Michaels will produce his newest protégé’s late-night show.
Fallon isn’t a complete neophyte, having served as guest host for CBS’ Late Show with David Letterman back in 2003.
The switch is expected to take place in early 2009, when O’Brien will [...]
