My uncle contends that this young lady, Annamia Eriksson, is the Jimi Hendrix of French Horn players. No argument from me.
Okay, I’m no classical music snob, but that tone is pretty epic… The majestic frozen north scale of epic.

The guitar was said to be lost forever after the London performance at Finsbury Astoria in March of 1967. After Hendrix lit the guitar at this show he had to [...]

Now I’m sure this is no Gray Album since this isn’t a DJ Danger Mouse project here but conceptually (and if done right) this could dominate (plus the artwork for it is actually kinda cool). The Biggie Hendrix Experience is DJ Doc Roc’s mashup of Jimi Hendrix and The Notorious B.I.G. – you can download it here. If it’s good leave a comment, if it sucks leave two.

Drummer Buddy Miles, who was 60, died at his Austin home as a result of congestive heart failure. Miles played with Jimi Hendrix in Band of Gypsys (with Hendrix’s old Army buddy) Bassist Billy Cox.
The Band of Gypsys live album drew from the final two of a four show run in 1970 at the Fillmore East in New York City. Two of Miles’ own compositions, “We Gotta Live Together” and “Changes” were also on the record.
But the group broke up following a final performance at Madison Square Garden in January [...]
