Record Store Day 2009: Saturday, April 18th

On Record Store Day I know I’ll be at Melody Records, the only true record store in Chico, but of those in more metropolitan areas (or at least less backwoods areas) should make a day out of Saturday, April 18th and hit up all the shops in their area. Let the vinyl reawakening begin!

Jessie Hughes Reviews Chinese Democracy

Yea, Chinese Democracy is going to be the new Sarah Palin around these parts.
Anyways, Jessie Hughes, aka the singer/guitarist for Eagles of Death Metal whom was thrown off of 2006’s Guns N’ Roses tour, had a chance to review Democracy. The results were pretty much not what I expected. Hughes said that the album was very good, with his only criticism being that Axl’s voice sounded kind of robotic… oh, and that this isn’t a Guns N’ Roses album at all.
