Waking at 2:30AM on Sat morning I wandered down to Centeroo to catch Girl Talk and Paul Oakenfold . Upon arrival I was taken back by the spectacle that was Girl Talk. By the end of the day on Saturday, I’d seen and heard over twenty bands of music’s finest. White Rabbits and People Under the Stairs were the heroes of Thursday’s lineups, but the festival and its patrons were just getting their feet wet. It’s Tuesday afternoon, two days till the start of the 2009 Bonnaroo festival and the final word comes down, I’m going. Then came the hard part, getting there. I mounted my computer with the intensity of mating rhinos and spent the next thirty hour period drifting between five different travel websites looking for the cheapest flights into thirty-two different airports. I hate Kanye West. Granted, he makes samples great music, but besides that, the guys has to be the most arrogant artist in the world. After the whole Bonnaroo incident where he basically anally raped the audience by not playing til 4 in the morning, one would think he would shut his mouth tighter than when he get his jaw wired shut.
