San Francisco’s Leopold And His Fiction are a two-piece blast of dirty rock ‘n’ roll blues. One might listen to Leopold and take a similar pleasure as from the White Stripes, only Ben Cook is a much better drummer than Meg White. Axeman/vocalist Daniel James is nothing short of stoically intimidating on stage, and packs enough wallop with his Fender combo for two guitars. I had the distinct pleasure of sharing a bill with these fine gentleman this Sunday past at Thee Parkside in the the city, and came away better for it.
