If you watched Rush Limbaugh’s speech today at CPAC and identified with the principles and ideology outlined therein, congratulations, you’re a complete moron! Limbaugh’s speech, combined with the woman on FOX News this morning desperately trying to explain, with a straight face, that for people living on the coasts, California, Florida, New York, etc that making “$500,000 a year really isn’t that much” and that taxing these folks at the Pre-Bush levels was somehow morally remiss, seriously made today a good day to be a liberal, as opposed to a party whose ideological hero is a radio talkshow host, and whose rallying cry is that people who make over $250,000 a year already have a hard enough time making ends meet.

I guess you think the founding fathers were morons too.
Rush’s message is the truth in its most brutal form. Franklin and Hamilton spoke the same message. They were called morons too. Less than half of the population agreed with them. If you knew your history you might think different. My parents own a small business net about $300000. After taxes, payroll, SS, FICA. They only take home 40% of that. Under Obama they will only take home about 25% of that. Your the moron for not understsanding socialism and how it bankrupts a society and robs people of their freedom. Rush and I are both pained by the bankrupting of our nation in only a month. And please don’t pull the “its Bush’s fault” Thats so old. We were bankrupted by a single liberal policy of demanding that people who can’t afford a house be given one anyway. Thats the liberal way, give away someone elses money in order to make them beholden and therefore controlled. Wake up! Its morally remiss to overtax one person in order to enslave another! When the “rich ” quit paying taxes and go fishing there wont be much left to hand out. That won’t be such a good day to be a liberal.
I guess we’ll find out
Mel, you are either a flat out liar or your parents have the WORST CPA in the world.
1) do you know what “NET” means? Sounds like you are talking GROSS.
2) I own a small business and NET about $150,000. I pay about 30% in taxes after all of my deductions (House, insurance, SEP, etc.)
3) If your parents actually NET over $250k, which I don’t think they do, they will only pay the increased tax on the NET amount over $250k.
So, I am going with the assertion that you are just a flat out liar.
Who do you think hires people who make less than 250,000? People who make more than 250,000. Capitalism is what drives the economy. Spoken like a truly uninformed individual. The wealthy will close their doors, and lay off their workers, then more people can claim unemployment. Redistribution of wealth is not a new thing and guess what? It has NEVER EVER EVER been successful. What makes you think we’re different?
It is sad to see America make the Obama mistake. He was elected by young Americans who are too young to remember the Soviet Union, and what they did in Eastern Europe, and they do not read history. I have lived through socialism it was socialism (fleeing it) that brought me to America. Today Western Europe has an economy that is worse than America’s.. they had no Bush. China is near economic collapse too.. they have no Bush. The American subprime crisis was created by the Democrats; Barney Frank, Schumer, Dodd & Maxine Waters. Mr. Libaugh is correct. I have seen the poverty and hunger socialism creates, I have run as tanks tore though my home town. Spoiled young American’s… you should learn from history and realize Obama is wrong and will take America down a wrong path. He will take away your greatest birthright freedom and prosperity.
The reason we are in this mess is because of liberalism and a president who claimed to be conservative really ran as a liberal spender with a couple of socially conservative stances. The truth is that the morons on the left don’t care about the American worker. If so, then why would they open our borders, let illegal aliens steal our jobs and then have the gall to tell me and others that it was I job I as an American was unwilling to do. The unions are just as guilty.
If you love your welfare, free schools, and tuition assistance, then thank a rich Republican. The top 5% wage earners pay 50% of all taxes. In fact, the bottom 50% of all taxpayers pay 2% of the nations taxes. Yet we want to take more of their money. This is stealing! No one has the right to tax one group more than the other because they went out and did something for themselves. And then to give their money to non citizens, thats even more criminal. And yes, Bush is just as guilty.
I agreed with EVERYTHING Rush said, and I have FIVE college degrees.. Moron? I don’t think so.
NOBAMA!
I agree with Mel. If you think taxing any group more than another is fair and just then your liberal head is not screwed on tight. How would you feel if you wwere the target and the government came out and announced that anyone who makes $10,000 or above will be seeing a substantial tax increase because it is only fair we give the homeless and those who don’t want to get a job a car to get back and forth to the shelters because we can’t expect them to wait on business or walk. that’s too dangerous. And besides if we tax you who make $10,000 or more a year. that will get the economy moving again
“When the “rich †quit paying taxes and go fishing there wont be much left to hand out. That won’t be such a good day to be a liberal.”
And will that be good day for conservatives? Will they build their own roads, produce their own oil/gas, pay for security? Will your parents be able to do all this by saving taxes and replace government? Why don’t we go back to caves? Live in small herds and fight for everything to survive. I am really ashamed that after so many years of progress humans have not learned humanity.
//My parents own a small business net about $300000. After taxes, payroll, SS, FICA. They only take home 40% of that. Under Obama they will only take home about 25% of that//
You’re an idiot. Your idiot parents will be getting a tax CUT under Obama, dipshit. Christ, I’m glad you morons have finally been thrown out of power. Clueless ass clowns.
Mel,
My husband and I, like your parents, own a small business. We make a bit more a year in terms of gross income ($500,000) but like them our actual income after payroll, business related taxes and other costs of business are accounted for, is only about 40% of that. Which means our actual income — the income on which INCOME taxes are due — is $200,000. We won’t see an income tax increase. And neither will your parents, who, if the figures you cite are true, have an actual income of $120,000.
Don’t let idiots like Limbaugh — who really couldn’t care less about small businesses like mine and your parents — confuse you with his hogwash.
“My parents own a small business net about $300000. After taxes, payroll, SS, FICA. They only take home 40% of that. Under Obama they will only take home about 25% of that.”
Is that their salary? It sounds like that’s roughly what the business makes from which they have to pay expenses, payroll, etc.
It sounds like you are not clear on the details of the tax situation.
mel said:I guess you think the founding fathers were morons too.
First of all, mel, net is AFTER taxes and expenses. Second, if you knew history, you’d realize that as originally implemented, the income tax didn’t apply to wages. They weren’t considered taxable income. Income was stock profits, business profits, interest earned, etc. That’s the way it should STILL be.
Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Dr. Mark Levin, Dr. Michael Savage are the Voices of America.
Commandant Obama is a Social Worker with a Law Degree.
He’s the Moron. Liberalism is a Mental Disorder. You are Miserable, Jealous, Mean-Spirited, Uninformed, Misinformed, Uneducated, Ignorant, and Completely Insane.
While a Terrorist is Sodomizing Your 6 yr. old son, then Rips his head off his shoulders, prepares to Rape and Sodomize Your 2 yr. old daughter, You 2 Moronic and Clueless Liberal Parents, while Tied Up would Watch All of this While Singing Kum-Bye-Ya to the Terrorists and telling Them You Understand and feel Their Pain!
YOU ALL ARE SICK AND TWISTED!
Well said Mel!!
Mel: Your parent’s net has to be after all the expenses including payroll, etc. If they gross $300,000, they are allowed to deduct any and all expenses, which would have to bring them to a taxable amount of much less than $250,000. And even if thier net taxable is $300,000, they will pay exactly 3% more in taxes on $50,000. If they are doing that well, they can probably manage. People have to look at facts instead of jibberish when deciding whether to support a plan or not. Mel doesn’t know the difference between net and gross income, so look it up…
There is some truth to Rush Limbaugh’s words, the key word being some. It is a bad idea to tax the upper middle-class, who own small businesses, to death. However, Rush Limbaugh’s economic libertarian philosophy will ultimately harm the small business owner. Laissez-fair worked initially, because it was impossible to centralize businesses at that time. Nowadays, with the creation of Corporations, the playing field has changed. Deregulation allows large corporations to swallow up and destroy small business. The end result of the economic libertarianism Limbaugh proposes is a country dominated by super-corporations, akin to Anarcho-capitalism.
So, where does that leave us? Neither President Obama nor Rush Limbaugh have the right answers. I fear they are both too wrapped up in their ideologies to do the right thing – they are ideologues. Ideologues are very dangerous. What we need are pragmatists (that is not to say that ideology should not partially drive our decisions). If you listened to Limbaugh’s speech carefully, you would noticed that he used a lot of moral language (i.e. it is not “right” to take money from the rich to give to the less fortunate). We should not govern like this. We must govern with an economic policy that maximizes the greatest possible good, for the greatest number of people and by all evidences that is a moderate economic system.
It’s funny because if you look at the states that are in the biggest crapper (i.e. those with highest tax rates and biggest budget deficits) the ones run by your brilliant, liberal brethren are at the top of the list!
If you’d ever listen to Rush (instead of reading misquoted and out of context drivel that’s pushed forward by the likes of CNN)…and I’m also making a big assumption that you’d be able to comprehend the idea of freedom, free enterprise and personal responsibility that he puts forward…then you’d know what Rush means when he’s talking about the absurdity of calling somebody rich when they make $250k!
And since when is it anybody’s business what other people make to begin with!? Did they take that money from you? Where you the one who gave it to them and so now have some sort of say over what they should and shouldn’t do with it?!
YOU IDIOT SOCIALIST! What makes you think that a politico-economic system that had failed EVERY SINGLE TIME that it was tried will succeed now?! I grew up in the Soviet Union and the sad thing is that most of the people in this country who were born in or after 1980 don’t have a clue what socialism really is and what it leads to in the end. It’s truly sad that ignorance is in the majority now and is throwing straight into black hole from which it will take decades to recover.
To compare Limbaugh to the founding fathers is so completely divorced from reality I can’t hink of a perjorative phrase strong enough to use for Mr. Taylor. The only thing brutal about Limbaugh is the complete lack of shame at his transparent hypocrisies. Luckily for America, while the Limbaughs, Coulters, Hannitys, et al, have a loyal following of sub-morons, they do not change minds, ever. Preaching to choir is there stock in trade, so I say let them continue to lie, distort and throw their little tantrums. As long as they refuse to learn from their myriad mistakes, as long as they irrationally cling to failure just to avoid admitting those mistakes, as long as they pin their hopes for the future on Limbaugh and his ilk, they will continue to lose elections. And that will make America better….
Mel:
The bleating of the selfish and spoiled continues. Oh noes, your parents own their own business and will make 75,000 dollars a year! You poor dears, however will you survive? Stop whining. Nobody wants to hear you complain when you’re likely doing better than they are and you don’t want to pitch in your fair share.
Oh, and while you’re at it, you might want to get your facts straight and stop regurgitating talking points that have already been proven false. The ACORN/CRA chestnut (get it?) has been thoroughly debunked. It’s just not true. So you’re spreading misinformation, either deliberately or mistakenly. Either way, you should stop it. It’s not right to repeat lies.
I don’t know about the founding fathers, but mel, you and Rush are definitely morons. You don’t know the difference between net and gross income for a small business owner (hint: gross minus things like payroll and FICA = net). You don’t know that SS is FICA. You don’t know that if your parents’ net income is less than $250,000 they won’t go from 40% of something to 25% of something under President Obama’s plan; they will probably get a tax cut. You don’t really know what socialism is, the actual meaning of the word, couldn’t describe the concept in 50 words or less if your life depended on it, only that it is scary bad. You don’t know the difference between your and you’re. You don’t see the hypocrisy of supporting a corrupt administartion that tripled the national debt during the last 8 years while claiming that Obama “bankrupted” us in only a month. Like your hero, none of that ignorance stops you from spouting nonsense on the subject non-stop. If your knowledge of history is on a par with your math, accounting, grammar, and logic skills, the founding fathers were probably alright and were not speaking the same idiocy as you and Rush.
If you really dislike socialism so much then lets get rid of the largest social program in world history. The US Military.
Your assertion that Rush speaks truth is hilarious. You obviously believe every word he says, since you’re repeating a very shot from the hip statistical scatter fire of b.s. right wing talking points. This from CNN/AP when fact checking McCain’s claims against Obama’s actual proposal, which hasn’t changed.
“the lion’s share of taxable income comes from a small number of wealthy businesses. Out of 34.7 million filers with business income on Schedules C, E or F, 479,000 filers fall into the top two brackets, according to an analysis of projected 2009 filings by the nonpartisan Tax Policy Center.
The other 34.3 million – or 98.6% – would be unaffected by Obama’s proposed rate hike.”
After overusing Joe the Plumber as an example of a supposedly affected S.B. Owner, even Joe had to admit:
“”I want to set the record straight: Currently I would not fall into Barack Obama’s $250,000-plus,” he said. “But if I’m lucky in business and taxes don’t go up then maybe I can grow the business and be in that tax bracket – well, let me rephrase it. Hopefully, that tax won’t be there.”
Few owners are that lucky in business. In a member survey conducted late last year, the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) found that only 14% of respondents said they had $200,000 or more in annual income.
As Tax Policy Center fellow Len Berman recently told Fortune Small Business: “Most owners of small businesses have small incomes.”
So who gets taxed more?
“fewer than 2% of business owners would be hit by Obama’s proposed rate increase. For those who are affected, the increase would be levied only on a part of their earnings, not all of them.”
here’s the link:
http://money.cnn.com/2008/10/15/smallbusiness/small_biz_taxes_factcheck.smb/
there are numerous other similar stories and accounts, that’s just the first one of thousands I googled. I’m not sure where your “40%” and “25%” numbers are coming from, sounds like your only source is Rush.
And I take offense to your comparing fat boy with two of our founding fathers, both were proponents of the Enlightenment, deism (not Puritanism), Franklin was a brilliant scientist who invented the lightning rod and the Franklin stove. Rush invented dittoheads. As in “yes, ditto to you fat boy, your word is truth. Now where’s that damn kool-aid?”
Mel: People who aren’t morons know that the contraction of “you” and “are” is not “your” but rather “you’re.”
QED
I also might add that if your parents are netting 300,000 then they are doing better than 98% Americans and should be proud and appreciative and yes, willing to sack it up for living in such a damn fine country that lets them make out like that. Again, I’d like to challenge your 25% and 40% numbers, where do they come from? Only a sixth of their income is going to be taxed any differently IF they’re actually NETTING 300,000 of taxable income. The first 250 grand don’t get affected.
Re: mel’s comment of Feb. 28
I operated and did all of my income tax for 12 years and was audited by the IRS with no problems. Mel’s comment that is parents netted $300,000 and paid tax of 60% is nonsense. He included payroll in his 60% tax computation…what is that all about..if it is employee payroll it would be in the schedule C payroll to compute the net gain. I imagine that the $300,000 is the parents payroll (net taxable income business income)prior to the allowed IRS deductions deductions. This sounds like some kitchen table BS that his parents are expressing to him. I suggest that the parents buy some IRA’s and take advcantage of any business depreciation methods available. They can work to get the $300,000 below $250,000.
Folks keep talking about the evils of socialism destroying America. For the last eight years unbridled capitilism was the rule of of day. So before people indict socialism address the effect that so-called “free market capitilism” had on the United States economy. The most useful economic model for the U.S. is probably a hybrid of capitilism/socialism with a highly regulated financial services/government spending component. It might by delusional to think that any model would work, but the biggest fraud and greed comes out of the two sectors mentioned.
mel, you could’nt be more wrong if you tried to. If there’s a policy demanding that people who can’t afford a house be “given” one, then where’s MY house? I challenge you and every other wingnut to cite even one single true case of a banker who was__ forced__ against their will to issue a loan to a borrower whom they KNEW could not pay. Just. One. Lenders lend money because they expect to make a PROFIT. Standards were loosened at the behest of the bankers because they were able to charge higher interest rates on subprime loans.
The Republican party controlled the courts, the White House, and the Congress completely for six years. The Democrats only had a slight majority in Congress for the last two years and have rolled over for the Republicans again and again. it is ridiculously laughable to try and pin the blame on the Democrats at all, let alone saddle them with sole responsibility. Just_who_ do you think your’e fooling with this trash?
What got us where we are today is 30+ years of “free” market policies and propaganda, tax cuts for the rich, deregulation of Big Business, and wage stagnation for working Americans.
If “Trickle Down” economics–giving tax cuts to the rich– really creates jobs as you wingnuts say, WHERE ARE THE JOBS? I remember when Reagan the Traitor cut taxes in 81, and I remember how it and deregulation brought on frenzy of mergers and acquisitions that led to mass layoffs for workers along with mega-profits for an elite few. It wasn’t until the 80′s when “Downsizing” and “Outsourcing” became household words.
It’s hard to believe that anyone could possibly be so stupid as to believe that we got into this sorry state in just ONE month, but then again, you ARE a dittohead! This crisis has been building for years, and, just like in the First Great Depression, the major underlying cause is wage stagnation and massive inequality of wealth. When you cut peoples’ pay, and send jobs to slave labor markets like China, people don’t have much money to buy anything, and, as we’ve seen, you can only extend credit so far. A CEO who gets 500 times the pay of the average worker can spend an awful lot of money. He might have a dozen mansions, and 40 or 50 Porsches and Ferraris. But will he buy 500 suburban ranch houses or 500 Chevy Luminas? When a few people have the vast majority of income, markets dry up. When_more_people have_more_money, we ALL are better off.
If you don’t like paying taxes and you hate “big” government, why don’t you try moving to a country that has neither taxes nor government–Somalia? You can spend every day pulling yourself up by your bootstraps and surviving as the fittest of the fit–if you can.
If you choose to stay here, the least you can do is put your money where your mouth is and boycott Socialism. Please stay off of our Socialist, taxpayer-funded roads, and vow never to make use of those Socialist, government-run fire departments.
“My parents own a small business net about $300000. After taxes, payroll, SS, FICA. They only take home 40% of that.”
I am glad they are paying social security to insure a decent retirement for themselves. Imagine if the US had ACTUALLY done what Rush and the radical right wanted, and privatized social security so people could make a killing on the stock market, instead!
In the meantime, your parents are making $120,000.00 after taxes, by your reckoning. (Being a small business owner myself, I know they probably write off their car and other things that others can’t. So, the figure is deceptive.)
But, yes, they may have to live on $120,000.00. People with two technical degrees earn half that, and so do people who still have jobs in manufacturing.
Yo mel….huh? I read a lot of hot button stuff there but I’m going to need a little help figuring out what your point was. Did you have one? Are you saying Obama bankrupted the US in one month? Do you have any details on that? When were houses being given away….how did I miss that? I don’t know where you live, but here in South Florida, the foreclosures are hitting working class neigborhoods…hard…and not the ghettos. Good luck with that mindless, coded bigotry “conservatism”.
Mel, your head is so far in the dark, you see brown in every direction. Why are all the banks failing right now? Because they gave bad loans. Why did they give bad loans? Because the short-term money to be made off fees, interest, and rebundling into derivatives was too easy and too good to pass up. There were no liberals involved in this: it was pure Republican, free-market business values at work.
Deregulation, freedom from oversight, and the boom times on Wall Street were all factors behind the bank meltdowns we see today. Only an idiot, an idealogue with no ability to reason and no facts at his disposal, would see it otherwise. America is in bad shape today because people like you can’t think straight and instead, throw rocks at whoever you’re told to stone. The GOP held complete power for six years and had complete freedom to do whaever they wanted with it, and the result is a shattered economy and bank failures.
You can make up fables and throw blame to try and cover the truth, but the truth is what it is: America’s hard times today were caused by Conservative values and policies yesterday. To say anything else is simply a lie.
It’s really sad to see how self-appointed patriots and right wingers, aka conservatives, agree with supermoron Limbaugh who has no idea about economics, supported big spender Bush like hell and hopes Obama fails which means America will fail too.
Hey, right wingers, don’t even take the word ‘capitalism’ into your mouth. You are clueless and just makes asses out of yourselves.
“Keith” wrote:”I agree with Mel. If you think taxing any group more than another is fair and just then your liberal head is not screwed on tight”
Am I the only one who notices how these wingnuts who champion Ayn Randian notions of Social Darwinism and Survival Of The Fittest in the “Free” Market, along with the notion that life is inherently unfair , so that it’s pointless for gov’t. to try and make it so are also the very same people who instantly cry “Unfair” at the very mention of Progressive Taxation?
And don’t you just_love_ how people who can get away with paying the 15% Capital Gains rate on millions in income that was actually-earned_by other people feel the need to whine about being “overtaxed”? Nitwit wrote: ” The top 5% wage earners pay 50% of all taxes. In fact, the bottom 50% of all taxpayers pay 2% of the nations taxes.”
Wrong. First of all,the top 1% wealth holders have about 50% of the wealth, so by rights it’s the top 1% who SHOULD be paying 50% of the taxes. Secondly, whenever wingnuts talk taxes, they are almost always referring to_income_taxes, which are progressive, but ignore regressive taxes such as sales tax, property taxes, and license and user fees which fall very disproportionately on the backs of the poor and middle classes. The lower someones’ income falls, the percentage of taxes vs their income rises dramatically. In proportion to their own incomes, the rich pay far less than the poor in sales and property taxes.Thirdly, most of the rich and very rich make most of their money from investment income rather than actual productive work. At the very least, we need to tax income from interest not less but more than we tax the actual work that produces the return on investment.
As long as we’re discussing economic hypocrisy, has anyone ever bothered to ask the Theocratic homophobes of the so-called “christian right” if they’ve bothered to read the parts in the Bible that condemn Usury? Didn’t 30% interest rates used to be illegal?
Ben, like his master Rush Pimpball, is a complete idiot:
__”Redistribution of wealth is not a new thing and guess what? It has NEVER EVER EVER been successful. What makes you think we’re different?”__
REDISTRIBUTION OF WEALTH does NOT work ???
Ever hear of a little thing called WWII ??! You know, the one that turned America from a backward, rural, inward-looking country to the world’s pre-eminent super-power? The one that took “SODA JERKS” and “gas-pump jockeys” and farm boys and made ‘em pilots, ship captains, officers, and NCO’s – with BILLIONS of dollars of SOCIALIZED, TAX-and-SPEND government spending?
Visit Florida on GoogleEarth, you can still see the airstrips built during WWII to TRAIN __THOUSANDS__ of WWII pilots. Men who after the war TOOK ADVANTAGE of the GI BILL, a college education, the Interstate Highway program, and OTHER BIG-GOVERNMENT TAX-and-SPEND ___REDISTRIBUTION OF WEALTH__ to create the America of HIGH WAGES and UPWARD MOBILITY that idiots like you take for granted.
The BLUE RIDGE PARKWAY was built – on an OUT-OF-WAY mountain ridgeline – by ROOSEVELT’s “redistribute money” CCC _SPECIFICALLY_ to CREATE JOBS, and half-a-century later, it is STILL creating jobs – millions of tourism dollars for area every year!
(You deluded Limbaugh listeners do a slight-of-hand accounting trick, PRETENDING that MILITARY SPENDING is SO HOLY, that it is NOT big-government, tax-and-spend, REDISTRIBUTION of wealth.)
Forget, please, “conservatism.” It has been, operationally, de facto, Godless and therefore irrelevant. Secular conservatism will not defeat secular liberalism because to God both are two atheistic peas-in-a-pod and thus predestined to failure. As Stonewall Jackson’s Chief of Staff R.L. Dabney said of such a humanistic belief more than 100 years ago:
“[Secular conservatism] is a party which never conserves anything. Its history has been that it demurs to each aggression of the progressive party, and aims to save its credit by a respectable amount of growling, but always acquiesces at last in the innovation. What was the resisted novelty of yesterday is today .one of the accepted principles of conservatism; it is now conservative only in affecting to resist the next innovation, which will tomorrow be forced upon its timidity and will be succeeded by some third revolution; to be denounced and then adopted in its turn. American conservatism is merely the shadow that follows Radicalism as it moves forward towards perdition. It remains behind it, but never retards it, and always advances near its leader. This pretended salt bath utterly lost its savor: wherewith shall it be salted? Its impotency is not hard, indeed, to explain. It is worthless because it is the conservatism of expediency only, and not of sturdy principle. It intends to risk nothing serious for the sake of the truth.”
Our country is collapsing because we have turned our back on God (Psalm 9:17) and refused to kiss His Son (Psalm 2).
And Limbaugh never made a bigger ass of himself than when he cracked that blasphemous “joke” about himself and God…

Mel,
You can’t count your mommy & daddy’s payroll into the taxes they pay. Those are the PAYROLL TAXES….
Hey Mr Smarter than You. Wherever did you get that idea? Oh right, someone told you and you went yip yip yip yip! Dense fool! All the states that are receiving major monies from the feds are RED states! Oh and as for all these failed socialist states, I happen to live in one which has the highest rated banking system in the world, a medical system that’s far better than yours at HALF the cost, has balanced the budget so many years in a row that I’ve lost count, has never ever had a whiff of scandal about STOLEN ELECTIONS, has higher taxes, and LOWER UNEMPLOYMENT than the US. Shall I continue?
Everybody. Please. SHUT THE HELL UP! At least until you have the faintest inkling of a clue as to what you mean and what others mean when you say “Socialism”. You don’t know. Period. Gods do I hate seeing blithering idiots toss around terms that they don’t even know the meaning of.
“Money is like manure – it’s most effective when it’s spread around widely’.”

#1) THERE’S A REASON REPUBLICANS LOST SEATS IN THE HOUSE, THE SENATE AND IN GOVERNOR’S MANSIONS NATIONWIDE: their ideas are stale and no longer apply to mainstream society.
#2) true republicans, true conservatives are valuable assets to our government. I’m talking about Republicans in the mold of Barry Goldwater.
#3) Right-wing Republicans are dying. Which is why they are all shouting and yelling so loudly. That’s what animals do before they die: they put up a fight.
#4) Let Rush keep on talking. The more he talks, the more he proves that the far-right is becoming an obsolete cult of fanatics. Ditto for Ann Coulter and Michele Malkin and Michael Savage and Sean Hannity. Keep up the good work, folks. The more you talk, the deeper your casket drops into the earth.
In truth, most Americans are reasonable, flexible and kind-hearted. Preaching hatred no longer works in a society that’s so extraordinarily diverse. Outright hatred of ANY minority is no longer acceptable in our nation and until Republicans learn to accept a diversity of people, they will not and cannot appeals to the majority of Americans.
We are no longer a majority of rich, White, straight men. Those who ignore the new paradigm are destined to become a footnote in history.
It’s no use trying to have a rational conversation with a dittohead, you know. If facts meant anything to them, they wouldn’t be listening to this idiot in the first place. It’s not about the truth, it’s about having someone make you feel good by giving you a daily rightious anger fix.
