Pop Unknown Reunion Shows

Pop Unknown, known to me at least as the band that came after Mineral that’s not the Gloria Record, are playing their first shows since 2002 in their hometown of Austin, TX this February and then again in March for SXSW. And since aging hipsters and turn-of-the-millennium emos are freaking out about it, they are gonna host a day-after party for the first of these shows to allow dudes with enough money to fly to Texas for the show a chance to spend some more of that money drinking booze, but also helping out a good cause: the Texas Hearing & Service Dogs and Blue Dog Rescue. POP UNKNOWN REUNION SHOW and REHAB PARTY:

After five years of touring the world, putting out over a dozen releases (including 2 full lengths) and playing shows with indie rock royalty, Austin’s POP UNKNOWN went their separate ways. When they stepped off the stage at their packed show at Emo’s in Austin, Texas in 2002, no one knew it would be their last!

Now, over six years later, POP UNKNOWN have decided the time was right to give it one more go. So, on FEBRUARY 21st, at The Mohawk in Austin TX , the boys will join forces with a hand-picked line-up of local bands and dj’s to take over Red River once again. Like battery acid and honey, POP UNKNOWN have combined that old school, in your face debauchery with Austin’s latest local buzz.

After hearing that more than a few people were flying in for the show, Pop Unknown decided to put together an intimate party to catch
up with old friends and have an excuse to continue the party.

Join Pop Unknown the day following their reunion show to relax, eat some food and have a few drinks while listening to some of their
friends do acoustic sets.
