American Idol judge Paula Abdul made headlines last night after mistakenly criticizing a contestant for singing a song he didn’t actually perform. The hours since have seen Abdul bashed across the internet for this slight of tongue. Frankly, I don’t see what all the hubbub is about, as Abdul makes a fool of herself on each and every broadcast. She’s bat shit loopy and deliriously out of touch. Why should it be shocking that Abdul would imagine a performance that didn’t take place?
And is it plausible that American Idol might hang it up anytime soon? Does anyone else find the formula to be a little, dare I say, tired? Hey Simon, what’d you think of that performance?

Yes, i have seen Taylor Hicks… he’s putting out a double album and the reason why you don’t hear him on the radio is because the big wigs at AI….. Clive…. decided that America got it wrong and Chris Daughtry should have won season 5 so they’ve dissed Taylor and hold up Chris… who I think did have the better voice but Chris didn’t appeal to the audience that AI attracts… Taylor’s doing awesome despite Clive’s lack of support… He sold 700,000 of his first album his song of Season five sold 1 million, but you’ll never hear that on Idol… they pranced Jordan Sparks around a couple weeks ago with awards and platinum album for her 500,000 sale of her album…. hummmm… wow Taylor did better than that… so AI people tell America that we got it wrong… slap our hand and move on… Taylor will be just fine…
