Murderkill 100
Ghosts Where Gods Once Stood
Self-Released
Murderkill 100′s first and so far only release since their inception two years ago, Ghosts Where Gods Once Stood is a 10-song demo from the stoner/metal band from Philadelphia. Influenced by of the likes of Kyuss, Corrosion of Conformity and Fu Manchu, Murderkill 100 aim to create some noteworthy doom. Unfortunately there is nothing especially exciting about this album. It’s got a few decent riffs and drum fills here and there, but overall remains uninspiring. The vocals, somewhat reminiscent of a weaker sounding Kill ‘Em All era James Hetfield, fits poorly with the rest of the band’s sound and does little to help raise the group beyond the realm of mediocre. There is some potential here, but in the end, Ghost Where Gods Once Stood contains little to warrant a second listen.
