Who wouldn’t want an 18-inch pink bust of Ronald Reagan in their living room?
Frank Kozik, designer of in-your-face toys such as the Smorkin’ Labbit and Wacky Dictators, brings you the opportunity with his exclusive pink Gipper bust.
Kozik, who is an internationally recognized pop artist best known for his rock posters, has worked with many bands including Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Soundgarden. During the last 15 years, he’s made a name for himself with major labels and brands including Nike, Absolut and Gatorade. His limited edition vinyl toys are as in demand as his poster art.
Clutter Media Group, a seller of designer toys and sponsor of the upcoming Designer Toy Awards, is offering fans a chance to order this limited edition design.
But why a pink Reagan, you ask?
Clutter Media Group founder Miranda O’Brien calls this pink bust design a response to the Republican war on the female gender. Ten percent of the sales will go to the Women Strike Force PAC, a group that is fighting back on the recent Virginia General Assembly’s legislation that forces a woman to undergo a vaginal ultrasound before an abortion. Miranda O’Brien states that, “These same legislators do not and will not vote for forced prostate exams for men who want Viagra….”
According to Clutter Media Group, when Frank Kozik himself was asked to comment, he simply replied, “I am 110 percent pro Planned Parenthood and I fully support Clutter and the statement my art makes.”
So you can sock it to the man-er, Gipper, and support this worthy cause at the same time.
The pink Reagan bust stands 18 inches tall, with a removable blue and white “destroy” eye plate and is limited to 50 pieces worldwide.
The Gipper bust is part of Frank Kozik’s irreverent series of 20th century political demagogues. The Gipper follows Mao, Stalin, Che and others. Go to cluttermagazine.com to see for yourself. There is also an 18-inch poster design by Frank Kozik with the same likeness of the Gipper in black, red and white with the quote, “Smash the State.”
