Gays Are Pissed at Obama

Maybe he’s just ashamed about hooking up on the down-low, but either way President Obama isn’t going to bat for homosexual marriage rights. Gay rights activists and politicos insist that Barack’s just paying lip-service (and not in a sexy man-on-man way).

Charles Moran, the spokesman for the Log Cabin Republicans said the lack of full benefits in Thursday’s memorandum shows a lack of commitment to the gay community.
“That’s the part that just shows that the Obama administration really isn’t serious about their promises to the gay and lesbian community. Things like the health benefits, things like retirement benefits and coverage for spouses. These are the core issues,” Moran said.
“Why start the marathon if you’re not serious about ending the race?” he added.

Why is everyone putting down every single little thing he does?? Can’t you just be grateful we finally have something better than Bush??
We were promised action and a “fierce advocate”, but Obama has delegated all responsibility in these matters to Congress. He hasn’t announced support for marriage equality or congratulated the few states who have achieved it. He’s passed the buck on DADT, Hate Crimes, ENDA, HIV travel restrictions and now DOMA.
If we don’t get these issues moving THIS year, Congress will not be able to get anything done before mid-term elections, which could easily mean nothing until Obama’s second term.
I WILL NOT wait that long to become a full citizen of this country when it could easily be achieved with the proper leadership TODAY.
haha yeah, we do have someone better than bush. but right now it kinda seems like we just traded adolf hitler for joseph stalin. not to compare obama to either of those, but honestly, obama is still messing things up. he was supposed to be the saviour of america, but it doesn’t really seem to be looking that way now does it?
