Decemberists on Colbert Report Tonight

Even thought they were trounced in the great ShredDown of 2006, The Decemberists are coming back to the Colbert Report with their overly-literate tails between their legs (eat it lit majors!)

Tune in tonight (4/27) to check out The Decemberists performing “The Wanting Comes In Waves / Repaid” on The Colbert Report (Comedy Central, 11:30/10:30c)! Colin Meloy and Chris Funk will also sit down for an interview with Stephen Colbert. This will be the band’s first appearance on the show since 2006′s ShredDown where Funk was dubiously defeated by last-minute Colbert fill-in Peter Frampton, and Eliot Spitzer had to recuse himself from the voting after an attempted Colbert bribe.
