Bruno Trailer

Bruno Trailer

Sacha Cohen is either one of the bravest actors or he has grade-A downs syndrome, but either way I’m stoked for the upcoming release of Bruno. There are so many things to be said, but I’m kind of over writing this blog so I’ll let the trailer do the talking for me.

Tasteless joke after the jump.

End The War on Drugs says Bill Haney

Pertinent shit.Let’s take a step towards solving our financial calamity by ending the nearly 40-year war on drugs. Just the thought of the waste of lives and money  boils my bones. Bill Haney sums it up nicely (in a tldr fashion) on the Huffington Post:
Prohibition was repealed during the Depression of the 1930s, as the costs of enforcing draconian anti-alcohol laws became too expensive for society to bear. Today we have laws limiting alcohol use, tax revenues that result from its legal sale and a virtual elimination of violence resulting [...]

Taking Woodstock

Do not take the brown acid. Instead, try Taking Woodstock.

It’s 1969, and Elliot Tiber, a down-on-his-luck interior designer in Greenwich Village, New York, has to move back upstate to help his parents run their dilapidated Catskills motel, The El Monaco. The bank’s about to foreclose; his father wants to burn the place down, but hasn’t paid the insurance; and Elliot is still figuring how to come out to his parents.
When Elliot hears that a neighboring town has pulled the permit on a hippie music festival, he calls the producers, [...]

Notorious out on DVD and Blu-Ray 4/21

I personally believe that Biggie Smalls and Tupac Shakur are still alive, AND hang out with Kurt Cobain all day, AND that together the three of them are the masterminds behind the Jonas Brothers.  However, the Notorious biopic, which comes out tomorrow on DVD, refutes that claim.
Featuring a performance from Wallace’s real-life son, Christopher Jordan Wallace, NOTORIOUS also uncovers the complicated relationships in the rapper’s life, including protégé Kimberly “Lil’ Kim” Jones, wife-and-R&B singer Faith Evans and long-time friend-turned-rival Tupac Shakur, examining the struggle, music and triumph of game-changer Christopher [...]

Mel Gibson’s Divorce

Mel Gibson’s Divorce

News of Mel Gibson’s Divorce is ripping through the web today like a hot knife through my ex-wife’s throat butter. The couple has been together since 1980, and because he wasn’t exactly landing hit roles like Lethal Weapon 4 back then, they didn’t quite worry about a prenup. The damage to him isn’t really that bad; she’s just going to be scoring half of his estimated $900 MILLION dollars… plus legal fees.
Sources tell us there is no prenuptial agreement — they were married in 1980, before Mel Gibson [...]
