
Ahmet Ertegun, founder of Atlantic records, did a lot to help popularize acts ranging from Ray Charles to Led Zeppelin. I don’t know if he was shifty or not – afterall, he was one of the most influential music moguls around, and folks, these cats tend not to be angels – but mass-media bred nostalgia has me feeling a little misty for the guy.
