“Featuring former members of the Brian Jonestown Massacre” has become a popular tagline for contemporary psychedelia, seeing as BJM has enlisted about 136 members in just less than two decades. But in the case of The Lovetones, all praise lavished upon founding father and the previously massacred Matthew Tow is entirely due. Dimensions sets the dial to 1968 and never looks back, boasting dreamy mid-tempos and a shimmering jangle that screams 12-string. Vocally, both lyrics and melodies are pensive yet hooky, finding a happy medium between Strawberry Alarm Clock and David Bowie, although one would be remiss to deny influence from The Lovetones legendary Australian brethren, The Church. “Journeyman” just might be the neo-psychedelic pop hit of the decade and, without question, Dimensions as a whole will satisfy the every need of revivalist fans far and wide.

I couldn’t agree more…I’ve been hooked on Journeyman and a New Low in Getting High ever since I heard the album. Great review my friend!
    Cheers!
