When I watch this, it makes me think about what a crap shoot it was that this planet just so happened to cool and condense and revolve and rotate in just such a way that hydrogen and oxygen came together to form water, and from there, the single-celled organisms that were able eat and shit and evolve despite all the meteor crashes, and the magnetic shifting of the poles and all the other major and minor catastrophes. And they kept evolving until there were dogs and lolcats and finally William Shatner. Is there anything else out there in this great big universe? Better question: Does it matter?
