25th ANNUAL ROGERS WIRELESS CANADIAN MUSIC WEEK NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS
FOR 2007 FESTIVAL SHOWCASE SPOTS
Organizers of Canadian Music Week are now accepting applications for showcase spots at the 2007 Rogers Wireless Canadian Music Week Festival, running March 7 to March 10, 2007 at selected venues throughout downtown Toronto. The deadline for applications is October 15, 2006.
The Rogers Wireless Canadian Music Week Festival is an annual opportunity for bands in all genres to gain the attention of over 3000 International movers and shakers in the industry. From rock, blues, punk, hip-hop, metal, electronica, jazz to country, the Festival is a hotbed of musical performances and discovery. Coupled with the longest running Music Conference in the country - proudly celebrating its 25th Anniversary - it is the largest new music festival in Canada, with over 500 artists performing in over 40 venues, on four nights.

This year's submissions will be taken exclusively through Sonicbids at www.sonicbids.com/cmw2007 and will be reviewed by a panel of top industry judges, including label/A&R executives, promoters, booking agents, producers, music publishers, journalists, broadcasters, publicity/promotion representatives, distributors, and more. As an added incentive, anyone who submits their showcase application before September 30th has a chance to win a Gibson Les Paul Menace Guitar with case. Applications submitted by this early deadline qualify for the first round of voting and selections.
All entrants for 2007 will receive a free year's subscription to Canadian Musician magazine. As well, all applicant artists/bands, whether chosen or not to perform, will receive one complimentary delegate pass to the TUNEUP 2007 Conference courtesy of Rogers Media. This Musicians Conference is designed to help new and experienced artists hone their skills in both the business and artistic aspects of their careers, featuring demo critique sessions, panel discussions, workshops, keynotes, and more.
